According to the American media, Russia should be out of population and hardware by now. So many terrible things have happened, there's just no way they can win this war.

Meh, I put it more at 66.7%

Ukraine is a cesspool of corruption via money laundering. Plus the whole “Civil War” thing (ethic cleansing of Ukrainian’s of Russian ancestry in the East by pro-Nazi goons) has to come into play.

It is still primarily on Russia, but I can’t imagine acting as though Ukraine is totally innocent.
