Glad to hear you're improving, Darth

I'm thinking about the Corps (not that it's likely to happen, I'd have to get an age waiver) just because it is (in my estimation and research) the toughest possible route, and I like the possibilities for a challenge.

Those fighting stances were so boss.

If anyone ever came at me like that, I wouldn't even take the time checking their knuckles I'd already know they can throw bricks

Slim and trim... A new wardrobe is in order.

To say the least. None of my clothes come close to fitting now. When I checked into the hospital on Nov. 7 I weighed like 260 and wore a size 42 blue jean. This morning I weighed 191.4 lbs and I can wear 36's but to be honest a 34 will fit me better.

The crazy thing is all this weight I had gained and now lost was not fat. It was fluids. Before my surgeries my heart had got so weak my body was building up fluids like crazy. My cardiologist told me I've lost what basically amounts to about 7 or 8 gallons of fluids. And what's made me lose all this weight is (1) fixing my heart and (2) a drug they call "lasiks".

Damn Darth. I don't know you but I'm glad you're healthy.

You sound like one tough sob to me

Also sounds like one way I would not want to lose weight.

Horse shows. Hmm. Close. I've never shown a horse but I've a great deal of experience showing my arse.

Thanks!

As for the corps, they're tough as hell on their recruits, I can tell you that much. I remember when I would see them with their DI's at Fort Knox, they were always catching pure hell. And these were not fresh "boots". These guys had already passed through Paris Island and had come to Knox to learn to be Marine Tankers. This was their AIT. That didn't seem to phase their DIs though.

Another thing that was odd was their cadence when they marched. It was Int like you saw in Full Metal Jacket where hey had normal "Jody Call" songs. In fact, the formation itself stayed totally silent. Only the DI made any sound. But instead of doing a cadence like "left, left, left, to your left" it was a series of oddly sounding grunts. And when it was time to halt or turn or whatever he'd give a different series of incoherent grunts that to the Marines meant something, whatever he was wanting them to do. I watched them do this almost daily for over a year and never did figure out what the hell they were saying.
