Just me, but if my wife or any loved one passed...posting on an internet message board would be about the furthest thing from my mind.
...but, I guess everyone is different. Maybe this was his only place where he had “friends”

This guy is a dope fiend. He’s fighting for his money right now and credibility. That old lady will be lucky to get reimbursement but he will “make sure to pay you back”.
I’m sorry his wife is dead but to have the wherewithal to come here and post a GoFundMe the night after she died...just seems suspicious.

I’ll be honest, CD. We believe that your wife did pass away and that you need help. We’ve seen her obituary, so we believe that part of it. The issue really arises from your posting on here becoming somewhat erratic. People are just concerned that you may not be in a position right now to try to manage $20,000 that you’ve suddenly received. Again, this isn’t because people don’t care or don’t want to help, we just want to see the funds truly used to pay for the funeral, pay off expenses, and benefit your children. I think it might be best to just let the air clear here and you focus on yourself and your kids for the next few days.

I did not question your motives or honesty. I simply said that people are concerned about you and about the legitimacy of the go fund me. I was also concerned that your account had been hijacked. Which, turns out, it was by your sister in law.

It was worth looking into IMO and clearly there's reasonable doubt about who will be using the money and on what they'll be spending it.
