My son (13) wants me to take him and 5 baws to play laser tag. I live sort of in the middle of both cities, closer to BR, but I'm a bit cautious to bring my kid anywhere in BR. He mentioned quarters on Sherwood, but I know Sherwood has gone downhill.

Where is the best, safest place y'all recommend in those 2 cities to bring him?

Here’s what happened in the Quarters parking lot. Someone was shot to death.

That's what I figured. It's a damn shame but I just can't bring myself to bring my child and 5 of his friends that I'm responsible for to Baton Rouge on a Saturday night.

With that being said, anybody got a solid Lafayette recommendation?

Go to Main Event by the mall. Best arcades/laser-tag/bowling in BR.

Kart Ranch in Youngsville recently opened a newly constructed building completely dedicated to laser tag. Heard it's pretty nice.

Are you being serious? The mall area on a Saturday night in Baton Rouge is safe?

Quarters is closed thankfully. Main Event by the mall has laser tag. I'd probably go during the day though.

Ok just don’t go at night. Perfectly safe if you go either Saturday or Sunday around noon for a few hours.

Kart Ranch in Youngsville has laser tag and also go-karts etc.

Premier Lanes (Acadiana Lanes) has laser tag and also bowling and those games where you win tickets to redeem for prizes (junk).

You could look into those. They're definitely safe. I don't know if kids consider the laser tag at those places good or not. I don't really have any frame of reference for laser tag.

Did Main Event put Quarters out of business?

There are none. Any decent laser tag place goes downhill real quick

They attract a real rough crowd

Not sure but it closed a few months ago for good. At this point I hope it becomes a Life Storage
