Nope, nope, nope.
The whole heliosphere needs to go. Whichever star system hosts the planet on which that monster was found needs to obliterated in a supernova. That might be enough.

I didn't.
He was just hanging out, probably waiting to eat some bugs or a small- to medium-sized bird, so I left him alone.

They got'm down here in OC. They're invasive and began overrunning the native black widows about 5 or 6 years ago. It might seems like an improvement as brown widows venom is not as potent to humans as that of most black widow species.
But, the brown widows are supposed to be balsier and much more likely to bite a human than a black widow. I hate those 8 legged frickers.

As someone mentioned, it's a white banded fishing spider. Harmless to humans - it's pretty docile.
Oddly enough, it's not that aquatic. It spends a lot of time in trees.

Having been spider bit in the past year. It would die.
shite a couple weeks ago I moved some hoses that had been sitting up for over a year. Had them on my shoulder and everything. Get to the wash down area and I’m giving them a good rinse with the heat on. I notice little baby spiders all over the whole pile. Then egg sacks. Then biggens. Nope. I had a subordinate frick with them after that.

They love water tupelo trees.
In the swamps, while running lines and frog gigging and such, if you see lots of shiny eyes hanging on the sides of water tupelo trees when your light hits them, it's usually these spiders.
I've seen some so big that, when I pulled up to a water tupelo that I had one end of a trotline attached to, that it sounded like an adult squirrel scurrying up the tree. Little tidbits of bark, etc., would hit the water from where he hauled arse up the trunk.
I try and refrain from attaching fishing gear to water tupelos now.

It’s probably already impregnated you with her alien spider babies. Probably best to call the wife and kids a cab and set yourself and your house on fire.

I’m on this side of the dirt.
Here’s a trip down memory lane LCA:
It was NOT smart to light it on fire. Then I ran inside screaming like a maniac.

I’m all ears. Definitely not going back to that spidery cabin. Really didn’t like that.

Sorry to piggyback off your thread OP.
I always have these spiders in our carport.
They come around every night. There are so many of them.
One is underneath the wooden chair I sit in every day with what looks to be a huge sack of eggs.
I assume they are black widows because of the red on their belly, but when I look at other black widows online they seem to have larger circular shaped bodies. What could these spiders possibly be, because I am unsure?
Any help would be appreciated.
