Don’t think people really understand the cost of changing the names of bodies of water. Changing the Gulf of Mexico to Guld of America cost a lot of money. I don’t mean government money… businesses. Drilling companies, oil companies, service companies, shipping and transport companies, environmental response companies, insurance companies, navigation, maps, etc etc.,, all documentation had to be changed from GOM to GOA. One of our clients had to change over 8000 documents.
The cost of this dumbass shite is astronomical but largely hidden from the general public that just cheer and say “hell yes”.
