Take the loop if you want. I'm not sure why "scenery" is an issue in Lake Charles for you.

If you want, go to Google Maps and look at the scenery before you drive it.

But if you hate the bridge, there isn't too much of a difference between taking 10 or 210. 6-7 minutes extra with no traffic

Thanks .

At the 'scenic' view of Lake Charles. I deserve that.

I will be traveling at night & I guess I meant a few signs of life/lights as opposed to less incorporated(?) I-210. But most of the nearly 300 mile trip is 'rural' so a few extra minutes (6-7)around the City won't make much of a difference in the larger scheme.

I will take I-210 from now on.

It may be irrational(even mocked by girlfriend) , but that bridge makes me a little uneasy.

You'll see more commercial venues on 210 than you will I-10

The federal gov said they'd replace the bridge 50 years ago after I-10 was built. That's a long time ago.

Just an FYI, there's another very large bridge on 210 also one of the longest non suspended bridges in the south.

Back in the mid-60s, our HS football team was on the way to play Sulphur. We were talking and all of a sudden, it started getting real quiet. Then we started noticing our bus was losing power and slowing down and we were going up that bridge. We finally made it, lost the game and made it back over but it scared the shite out of all of us.
