Well I woke up to take my 3 am piss and no water in Circumcisionville. I realized the clothes I put to wash before bed did not finish. Before putting the clothes to wash, I ran some water to make sure it was flowing, but it may have just been some residual pressure left in house. Of course it helps when you live right by a water tower.

Fun times when living in 2020’s is like living in the 1900’s with no water.

As far as schools:

quote:

School closure:
Due to water related challenges Central Lafourche High School, Career Magnet Center, all Lockport, and all South Lafourche area schools will be closed today January 26th, 2024.

I don’t know why they just didn’t state this publicly. I just drove past the south plant and they had probably every worker available digging up the yard right in front of the plant. With that said, absolutely no water is leaving the plant until the main is fixed.

I do not know why they had to be so cryptic about the problem they are dealing with. So it is not like a car hit a water main along 308. There is something that happened on the main line coming out of the plant. Which also means the plant may have been shut down or reduce output to allow the crews to work on the line.

Heard they were attempting some fix or replacement to a main line and didn't go so well.

Yeah cause it’s kinda hard to boil water when there isn’t any water to boil.

And everyone knows.

Just tells us what to expect.

I had water this morning in North Raceland and I get my H2O from the Lockport plant. I guess it pays off to wake up at 4am sometimes.

This shuts down potable water to fill supply boats to service the GOM also. As you know Chouest barges some fresh water to Fourchon, but I don’t think it’s enough.

I believe you and Chedballz could tell us more about that.

Any time table for when we will have water? Do I need to get jugs of water for a day a week a month?

We have zero water currently since 5pm yesterday.

Hopefully soon.

They are covering up the hole to make sure it is stable according to HTV.
