I can assure y’all that, even from my somewhat liberal perspective, Judge Odinet is very fair and even handed on the bench. Without exception.

I’m very glad that she and her kids caught the car burglar. Great job. Too many of those car burglars out these days.

Also, I am shocked at how casually they use the n-word at home. That’s not how you act. Period.

She will probably take some time off the bench to let this blow over. There will be a judiciary commission investigation convened. She will probably get a public reprimand, at the least.

We will all be ok.

I'm not talking about her situation. I'm talking about anyone that appears before her because they've been accused of theft.

Some of those people will plead guilty... probably a lot of them, so considering how she characterizes people that are caught stealing from her, would you feel comfortable that she could fairly sentence a black defendant that has just pled guilty of stealing from others?

Then consider that the recusal law does not just take into account if outsiders think a judge is biased, but if the parties themselves believe a judge is biased and they have evidence to support that belief.

Which again, is why I think she'll resign because there will be so many recusal motions filed (first one was already filed today) by black defendants that the Court will not be able to operate

If the national association of always complaining people want to do something productive, they need to be just as vigilant with that word being used by rappers, movie stars, etc. They should also be as outraged about all the black on black killing. They like to pick and choose what outrages them. Until they wanna own it. White shouldn’t either.
