How dumb can people be? She made her and her newborn child a target. This could happen to anyone though. These idiotic criminals could have gotten a wrong address and kicked in your door. Everyone needs a firearm.

I saw a First 48 the other day where a dude posted on a public Facebook group for their hood about winning a settlement for 25k. He told everyone he would be throwing a party and posted a picture of the cash. Big shocker, three dudes in masks show up, kill him, disappear with the cash. People are idiots

Like when you see a billboard on the interstate, with a name and picture of a person who won like $400,000+ at a casino..

I actually do NOT want to win a lottery for this reason. Unless I can remain anonymous.

Not a bad idea if you want to test your new Remington 870 Express Tactical.

Most, if not all, states require you to not be anonymous. It's a public trust thing.

I've ruined friendships for far less than $3500. Hell I think I ruined one over cab fare once

If you won the lottery I'm sure you could afford some system that will keep you and your money safe.

I mean obviously, but idiots are going to assume you keep it in cash in your nightstand.

Because they're idiots.

The "insurance" is almost useless. Fdic can take up to 90 years to pay.

My dad plays poker and had a couple of hundreds in his wallet. We were at some seedy gas station in Wisconsin and he's looking for a 5 to pay for a couple of cokes and he flashes the cash to the trashy lady cashier and her guy friend.

People have been murdered for less than that. I told him after WTF are you doing, just fricking oblivious.

Before I was saved and found Christ, if I was carrying a couple hundred to go to the scrip club I also kept the bills in neat order in my wallet so I could pull out what I wanted without showing it all. Or keep a couple smaller bills in my pocket.

Though I kinda feel like it's an "old guy" thing to make a big show and take one's time paying with cash. I see this at pharmacies all the time when I'm waiting in line.

Not so fast. The thieves conspire with security, and you wind up getting your throat sliced by someone on your own payroll. The end.

Should've chosen to turn to page 49 instead and not bought that lottery ticket.
