Lads, this is what caffeine too late will do to you

My 4 week average average heart rate is 40 so up 5 bpm, HRV down 20 points and half the amount of REM and deep sleep as usual from a half a cup of coffee at about 3:30.
I’m on the west coast and was dragging arse. Keep that sleep hygiene hygienic baws!

I drink 2-3 cups of coffee every morning. Typically have a Monster or a Redbull as a sweet treat during the day and then a pre-workout before lifting. I sleep 4-5 hours a night or less. Constant anxiety and deadline stress. Desk job. 30-40 pounds overweight. Middle aged. This is peak performance.

Caffeine, well monster energy drinks specifically gave me heart palpitations. Doc said I was borderline going into a fib. Needless to say I cut out those drinks and everything went back to normal.
