Can't go wrong with a Lab or a Golden. The best dogs ever.
You can however go wrong with a Rottweiler, Doberman, or Pittbull. They maul children all the time.

I had an talkative Uber driver that told me they bred French bulldogs and she sold them for 4-6 thousand each. Who the hell pays that much for a dog that is not a working dog?

I've owned nothing but labs and never had any issues, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
When my uncle was in Vietnam, they used Labs instead of German Shepherds because of all the water areas in that country. He said it was some of the meanest dogs he's ever seen.

Said by someone who’s obviously never owned a Doberman. Labs are involved in more fatal dog attacks than fricking Dobermans for gods sake.

Ya, my black lab was impossible to get a rise out of. Kids could hang from his ears and he'd beg for more. Awesome dog, great companion. But my other lab mix, I wouldn't let her near a kid. She was pissy as hell.
Have a french bulldog now. Guess I need to go buy some skinny jeans.
