LA/TX Baws- I-10 going from LA to TX

With the virus are there any issues of crossing the States lines like they do in FL. I have to drive thru LA to TX next week and wanted to see if there are checkpoints like in FL.

My oldest son and his buddy are heading to Dallas today to move his buddy out of his dorm. (He's 19 and knows better than I.) I'll let you know in a little bit how feasible it is.

Prayers for you. I found the best way in is by quietly Kayaking at night across the Sabine River or Toledo Bend but strap yourself in case any of those Texas vigilantes catch you while your crossing.
