This. Her "new look" and "new identity" get her a Rolling Stone cover. So, to her, she is winning. Nothing in the LGBTQ rules (that I know of) says a lesbian can't be a hot one. They all do strange haircuts and colors. I'll never understand it.

I looked her up on Wikipedia. She is a Hollywood Nepobaby. Both parents in the business. I think she has female parts in there because at least as of 2017 she was bi-sexual.
She is 33 so at the critical age where she, depending on her level of talent either continues in the business or washes out.
For now that's all I care to know about her. Looking at her photos, she was a next door neighbor girl looking cute. And then she got edgy.

Sort of an unusual case, Stewart apparently goes from men to women and then back to men. "Bisexual", I believe is the term. She's getting too old to be this explicitly experimental unless she's just a freak and wants to be open about it.
The obvious answer is that she is trying to increase her profile for career purposes. #Occamsrazor
