Unreal. I remember the last major sports figure to die, Payne Stewart was unconscious when his ghost plane went down. This is much bigger and so unbelievable. Hard to even imagine how terrifying those seconds were as the helicopter was going down.
I do caution against people putting him up on a pedestal like these FOX reporters just did. "Role models" do not sexually assault young women in Colorado resorts. They also do not force the trade of a teammate because he's getting too much admiration from the media. Let's not lose sight of Kobe the man vs Kobe the HOF basketball player.

this is really fricked up situation, baws. between the news itself and seeing these athletes i’ve looked up to in my young 27 year life react this way, i’m pretty broken up this news. i will admit real tears have been shed
