TKE house was off by itself around the south east side of campus. Not far off of California .Thought it was one story house though. The TKE in the thread should be able to tell you better

Ah, okay. I remember a house right around where the arrow points:

Yes, the TKE House was on Homer. It was across the street from Kidd Dorm which has also been torn down.

Okay. I remember it passing by on my way to classes at CAB from Carson-Taylor. Forgot about Kidd. What did Dan Renaud Dr. replace as the street name? Totally forgotten some of the streets.

ETA: I think it was Arizona, now that I think about it.

The LSU budget cuts and top LSU academics & researchers leaving the school in record numbers has catapulted La Tech to being the best public academic university in La.

So Tech, who already has less money, is able to keep theirs? Sounds like a LSU problem in the administration. The budget cuts are hurting Tech more than LSU.

I knew the kid that did it. Drunk leaving the place, all cars had to park lined up all down the road, actually very unsafe.

He left scene.
Cops looked for him, he shot himself.

Did he work part time as a barber?

Rabb's

Does anyone remember a few years ago when some guy accidentally ran over someone in the Rabbs parking lot?

He was the son of a local physician or LA Tech professor.

Anyways, he killed himself.

Anyone recall this?

Speaking of the dirty. Any of y'all there before they shut down for their long remodel? Had a wet T shirt contest and thought it would be a good idea to bring in strippers. One of them ended up turning it into a lesbian sex show on stage with a random chick who entered the contest. Did a lot of drinking there but will never forget that.

I wasn't there for this, but the better question... was anyone ever there when they turned the lights on? There was a reason that place was referred to as the dirty...

ouisiana Tech also ranked No. 1 in the state in median mid-career salaries for graduates, according to PayScale.com’s 2016-2017 College Salary Report.

This isn't a shock when you don't have low paying majors dragging down the average. Tech is a very good school, but like othe tech colleges, some statistics will be skewed in their favor understandably.

Also, value rankings are interesting. Rice University tuition is $42k+ annually not including summer tuition, room or board. Despite that, it is rated the best value for college in Texas.

Both A&M and UT are around $10,000/year in state and are behind it.

These rankings are always interesting, but kudos to La Tech, they deserve them. LSU admin has been killing LSU'svalue and quality for years now so it is no surprise they've fallen behind.
