Everything news related was dedicated to covering his death for probably a week at least.

Fox News Reports Michael Jackson’s Death

Statement from his estate:

quote:

“Ten years ago today, the world lost a gifted artist and extraordinary humanitarian,” the statement begins. “The entire global community joined in grieving during a powerful and emotional memorial service witnessed by more people than had ever viewed a live event before.”

Every single TV station had breaking coverage of it that day, I never knew how big of a deal he really was until that

What is the difference between Michael Jackson and a grocery bag? One is white, plastic and dangerous for children. You put groceries in the other.

I have one, I just happen to remember being at home and about to leave to go somewhere when I heard about it.

People remember hearing about the deaths of famous people. He’s one of the most famous people who have died during my lifetime.

I'm pretty sure the phrase "Burn in Hell" is appropriate here.
