You mean reading an actual book? Give me the book every day.

traditional. I stare at a computer screen all day. I read actual books and newspapers. Yes...I like to hold and read a newspaper. And no, I'm not 65.

Have an iPad and used to read books on it alot. But, at night, it messes up my sleep if I use a screen, so majority of my reading is the hard copy book. Plus, I like seeing my progress and how much I have left and it's harder to visualize that with a tablet.

I like to reread books so my collection was getting a little out of control and I got a kindle. I thought I would hate it but it is the best thing ever. Plus, if I get stuck somewhere I can pick up where I left off on my phone.
I love my paper white.

I can do either. I like the convenience of buying and starting it instantly. I still order hard copies of some books though. Especially books for work that I want to write in etc.

Depends on where I am, how late it is, or whether I have the actual book in my hands or an e-version in my kindle library. For me, I suppose it would be "either/or" because I like to read books in whatever format they may be found.
BTW, there is a book board on TD.

I've been close to getting a kindle (almost did on prime day) but I just can't give up the old school way. I like having them on shelves and loaning them out occasionally. I'm not 65 either. Not even Half way yet. Lol

Best feature of it imo. Long wait somewhere...no problem...I can just read on my kindle app.
Also...great when traveling. Don't have to pack a bunch of books for the plane.

Least active forum on TD, sadly.

My husband is the same way.
But I think he is getting a little closer to caving and getting a kindle.

I do the same, ordering hard cover copies for classics and history books and stuff that might end up on a shelf.
In an ideal setting, in a club chair with a drink and nobody bothering me, I prefer the real book. But in most other situations it's just more convenient and comfortable to use a kindle or iPad. Especially when you're reading 600+ page books.

E-Reader all day
I can get books without going to the library or waiting on them to physically arrive.
I can read with the lights off to not disturb Mrs. Bitbuster.
I can look up words instantly.
Every time I want to start reading, it's exactly where I left off.
Free books
Lighter and less bulky than a book.
Changeable font size.
No paper cuts.
Ever since switching to an e-reader I've read 10x more books.
Edit: I've had both a Nook and a Kindle and I prefer the Kindle and Amazon's experience as a whole over Barnes and Noble.

I still say a real book, but the devices are beginning to grow on me.

I was a die-hard traditional book reader until I started going TDY a bunch back around 2010. Got tired of lugging my books around, so got a Kindle.
I've been using one ever since. I still buy hardcover books from certain authors though.
A Kindle is just too convenient for someone like me who is usually reading multiple books at once. And the eInk is much, much easier on the eyes than a traditional backlit tablet.
