Mitch should be chained up in his nicest suit and taken to the projects wrapped in a confederate flag and left there at night

New Orleans was understaffed with 500 more officers. Can't imagine how really bad it is out there ie. the real statistics.

New Orleans needs Dexter.

Solve the crimes and quietly take out all the murderers.

Would be hard for Dexter to move inconspicuously around New Orleans East and Gert Town.

The DA looks like a jackass with the fake subpeona issue, and his stance on cannibas, but in fairness to him his acceptance and conviction rates have been impressive. I think his felony conviction rates are on par with the national average, or close to it. That is pretty incredible considering parish demographics and the state of the office he inherited. Just saying.

True. But he was stealth and at night.

He would just pretend to be a junkie.

175 murders in Orleans Parish? You sure that's right?

There are 450,000 people in East Baton Rouge and only 61 murders.....and EBR isn't really considered a overly safe area. What is causing the rise just an hour away in Orleans Parish?

edit: Damn, you are correct. LINK

New Orleans ends 2016 with 175 murders, most since 2012

Do they have a retention problem or is this just people retiring?

Think how much the city could benefit from the tax revenue from marijuana sales. More police, better streets, better schools. But nah, we'll just continue to be behind in the times and watch our state slip further and further into the shitter

It's not like they would spend that money wisely. Mitch would use it for some dumbass social programs like midnight basketball.

Well, they could make it like Colorado and have a law requiring transparency of where the money goes.

But alas, it is Louisiana.

Marijuana does make a ton of fricking sense in Nola though. Would hurt drug dealers, help increase tourism, and increase tax revenue.

People in Louisiana are 100% justified in not trusting the government with tax dollars.

It would increase tourism to absurd levels. It still blows my mind how some people are still against legalization

I believe the national average is around 67%. So no this would be a less than desired clearance rate.
