Got a few from the belt from dad but it was deserved. After that all he had to do was proceed with unbuckling his belt and we straigtened up. There was also us being bad during a car ride. All he would have to say is "do I need to pull this car over?" Or if were were acting up badly in a public place all he had to say was "Do I need to take ya'll to the car?"
Now, even worse, one time we acted up badly at my grandmother's home. She pointed at a specific tree in her yard, told us to get her a switch from the tree and if it wasnt good enough, then she would go get one and the one time she went and got one we learned never, ever again.
But the whippin's we did get were well deserved and taught us hard lessons in life. Screw the time out crap these parents now put their kids in. Its a joke.

Not only did we get whippings at home to keep us on the straight and narrow - but the vice principal at school had a paddle and you would get paddled at school when you got out of line, then usually followed by another one at home that night.
Kids these days could definitely use a few arse whippings from time to time, the worlds gone soft.

Oh, our mom would have no problem bringing down punishment and then she would tell us just wait until your dad gets home - then it was a 50/50 chance he would rain down punishment as well. Again, lessons learned.

Same, I attended a private Christian school in my younger years and when the girls acted up, we got the paddle from the teacher. The boys got the belt from principal. Damn, now that I remember, those paddles hurt like a son of a bitch.

shite got real when dad reached for the belt. Mom used her hands up until the time it hurt her more to hit us than it hurt us. After that mom, would throw the occasional right hook. Busted my lip wide open for talking back to her one day, lol

Had a teacher at our elementary school that used a ruler she would call you up to her desk in front of everyone tell you to put your hand out and spank your open palm. The principal at this same school had a wooden paddle with a hole in it and that thing could be heard across the hallway when a spanking was being given. Therefore you can say physical and mental psychology was being used. Lol

Born in 1984, and yes I got the belt. Also got the switch from my grandmother.

Didn't get a lot, but when I got it, it was well deserved.
My dad had his own technique, always across the back of my legs.. shite hurt.
My biggest fear was hearing my dads belt whip through those loops on his work pants...
Lord only knows how I would've been if I didn't get those.
Brave for even posting this. When I said I spanked my kids, I got accused of perpetrating domestic violence against my family.

My mom had some whippy stick things she used for decoration. She would grab one of those and use it across our legs. Hurt worse than a belt on the arse.

We got whipped with a paddle with a big confederate flag carved into it at school. We called it getting the stars and bars tattooed on your arse. Different times

Was often more scared of my teachers than parents. Old school Catholic clergy/teachers didn't mess around, and you learned manners very quickly.
At the very best if you messed around in school you were kneeling outside of class on hot concrete for the rest of the class. If caught sleeping they would flip your desk with you inside.
Unfortunately our society is too pussyfooted for that kind of structure these days.

Dad had a belt with a Alabama belt buckle. I always joked that’s why I’m an Auburn fan in a family full of bama fans because I had that damn elephant imprinted on my arse growing up. Miss you Pops. Also frick bama.
