Kids of the 70's, Smells that take you back...

Fresh paper from the Ditto machine at school.
For those who don't know, the Ditto machine was how copies were made before Xerox machines.

Weed today smells nothing like weed in the 70's..

Pizza Hut used to have a distinctly pleasant smell when you walked in the door. That was when the crusts weren't frozen.

Seeing cap guns took me back.

The smell of cafe au lait and beignets at Cafe du Monde.

Traffic jams smelled different before all of the EPA regs on exhaust.

The cheap plastic toys had a different smell. I’m hoping that wasn’t the smell of cancer.

Somebody mentioned the old manual mimeographs, and the smell of the fluid. That takes me back.

The smell of a hot station wagon with vinyl seats in the summer with a/c that didn't work worth a shite.

Yep, and then for summer baseball practice the moms would put some ammonia into an igloo with ice and water for a quick pick-me-up. I use to love that smell, it would get deep into your diaphragm.
