It’s truly a wonder I never injured myself doing the dumb shite I did. One time I flipped it over on top of myself and I was about 130 pounds back then as a kid. Really skinny kid. If it hadn’t have rolled over me completely I could have been stuck in the field for hours.
exactly the same thing happened to me. I figured if I went fast enough, I could ride across the rows in the field without it being bumpy.
you can imagine how that turned out...very lucky all I ended up with was a big knobby tire track-shaped bruise on my chest.

I had a 70 when I was five. My mother limited the throttle. When I was six I discovered you could cut the majority of the screw off with a hacksaw, screw it back in, and she had no way of knowing. Wasn't allowed more than a half mile from thw house. Put literally thousands of miles on it
same rule applied for the 80.
When I got the 250, I was 13 and did whatever I wanted with it. First racing bike was a year or two later.
Never got hurt.
The love of things with speed led me to buy all sorts of toys.
Never got hurt in one, and then, riding in my side by side, I caught a hole at about 20 mph and flipped it. Pretty sure I fractured a collar bone as it now has a ring around the entire bone dead center., definitely some soft tissue damage. Said I wouldn't buy another one. Bought another one two months later.
As I get closer to 40 than 20, I take less chances. But when my kid is old enough, they will get a little ATC 70 like I had. And we will start it all over.
A friend of mine died when he was 13 from a 4wheeler flipping over on him. Same thing has happened to me more than once (always my fault. Water wheelies or yanking on things to pull them out), and I never ended up with even a scratch. The difference was he was always small for his age. I've been the same height since I was in 6th grade.
My wife and I are going for a ride later tonight.
If you see something in BR that doesnt make a damned bit of sense on the road, give me a honk. It's me

What is that like? Do you think about the person in the back or just focus on doing your job?

Lotta potential HIPPA violating going on in here. Big bro is watching. Be careful. Just a friendly reminder - really don't mean to be an a**hole

Props for spelling it like that.
Negative props for not knowing what it means in the first place.

No specific names or dates were mentioned. No HIPPA was violated.

Fortunately, there are no HIPAA violations though.

Kids ride them constantly in my neighborhood. No helmets and like 4 9 year olds piled on them. It's one of the dumbest thibgs I see routinely.

Most of the quadriplegic teens and young adults that I have cared for became that way because of ATV accidents. Also had to witness a family's grief after we were unable to resuscitate their 10 yr old in the ER - they were riding ATV's as a family when their child crashed and broke his neck. Helmets and pads can't prevent that.

We bury them every year. Such a waste and always the good kids, for whatever reason.

Yes Scoop. I grew up in the 80's. I had a Honda Big Red 3 wheeler. You are right. We had a force field around us cuz I did a bunch of dumb shite riding that thing.

I’ve seen bigger Hippo violations in the quad.

I came up in the three wheeler craze, got hurt and hospitalized more than once but survived.
