In my medical opinion, he's got AIDS

Kid with freakin rabies

quote:

GRAND JUNCTION, MI -- An 11-year-old Grand Junction boy and his brother are undergoing a series of preventative rabies shots after health officials confirmed that a bat that bit the older boy had rabies, a potentially deadly disease.

They say rabies, but who knows. Could be AIDS.

The kid does not have rabies. Like another poster said, rabies is 100% fatal when contracted. The kid was given prophylactic Ig's to prevent rabies infection.

Not as bad as they used to be. Back in the day it was a series of 21 shots in the abdomen. My granddad had to have them.

this. Rabies is fatal. If you can catch it before the infection, it can be prevented.

I never thought he had rabies. I said AIDS the whole time.

I'm confused. A kid bit a bat with rabies? I knew Pokemon would come to this.

As long as I don't read the article, I can believe at least one of them is named Cujo.

A gay bat, that had AIDS and rabies, bit a kid, who's probably gonna die soon. Of AIDS.

When a person has full on rabies? I've only heard of 1 person surviving after effects have set in. Story involving a girl who was bitten by a bat, was medically induced into a coma, etc.
