I swear, I'm pushing 50, so it's not like I need them both nearly as much, but I think I'd give up my left testacle to have one more 6 year old birthday party at my house if my little girl got to be 6 again for a night. I know I would. And Id throw the Chuck E Cheese tokens in, the ice cream shop after that, AND fricking donuts the next am, with no one's coin being good at any of those places but mine.

Also forgot to mention for the extra kids at our gym it's $3 for guests so I guess I'll pay for that as well

Wait you're taking them to swim at your gym?

Then you should have better options besides Chuck E Cheese.

You're paying...you offered.. seems like common sense. Did you ask girls out on dates and ask them to pay?

I'd say at that age you are paying but not like it's an expensive deal. 6 yr olds generally don't have wallets/purses.

Now If you were taking your 14 year old daughter and her friend to the mall then I would expect the guest 14 yr old would have her own spending money.

I've been in a similar position where the younger kid brought money given to them by their parents but we didn't accept.

Enjoy kids at that age when it is cool to hang out with parents. Eventually it won't be so cool.

Lifesaver line "We have a family event for 12:00 tomorrow. We have to leave the house no later than 11:00.“

My wife had one for our daughter, and we had one parent not show up until 3:00 to pick up their kid!
