We’ve got an update. Lawd.

Text from the rest of the Twitter string:

quote:

Shannon Ragland @JuryReporter · 33m Police source who saw video of Letcher Courthouse shooting inside Judge's chambers. No audio. Sheriff enters and sits a time with Judge. Sheriff gets up and locks door. They are alone. They talk more. Judge hands Sheriff his phone. Mickey hands judge his. More talking.

I dont think the jury gets to decide the charges and they get pretty exact instructions but who knows. Im certainly not a legal scholar lol.

Well, sure. But a juror can make the decision, even despite the instruction, to not convict. And we get mistrials all of the time as a result.

Wow, if true.

What in the world would a high school girl see in that older judge? He's goofy looking as well.

Was the judge married?

Why does everyone assume that "they took my wife and daughter from me" means that this Judge had a fling with the daughter?"

It could just as easily be the Judge was seeing the Sheriff's wife. It could be that the Sheriff's wife was going to file some divorce action in the Judge's court and the Sheriff thought the Judge would side with his wife. Everything is 100% speculative at this point.

It even has a name... jury nullification

Attorneys aren't supposed to bring it up during trial but it is definitely a thing that exists

HS girl with daddy issues sees man in power and wants to find a way to piss dad off as much as possible and get his attention. Mission accomplished.

The updates I’ve been posting are from a guy who is well connected in courthouses across the state due to what he does.

He’s getting his info from folks inside the system that would likely be aware of the details as things went down. Like the arresting officer, etc.

ETA: Not saying it can’t still be rumor or incorrect, but he doesn’t tend to run with stuff that doesn’t come from a solid source.

If it’s true he’s been involved with the daughter and he’s close with the family, I wouldn’t be surprised if grooming is involved.

Have to remember she’s still a kid and in a small community no less. There’s a reason we have consenting age laws.

What a weird way to phrase it.

Shoots at with a fatality

Why not just “shoots and kills”

If the rumors are somewhat accurate, this needs to happen more. Most father’s have this scenario play out in their mind many times and would be willing to risk the risk conviction. If we must send the fathers to prison, we should make their stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

If someone diddles a man’s minor daughter as an adult over the age of 25, they should fear an imminent death.

I would without question risk the conviction with career change plans to become a shotcaller on the inside. Ill do whatever I have to do.
