I was implying that the people there clearly don’t get any sort of help which would make it hard for Tonny Boo-Boo to be employed.

There is a lot of worthless, sorry people in this thread who do things like return their carts to make them feel like good people. Guess what, you aren’t!!!

You're a straight up piece of shite if you don't return your cart, baw. It'll help your fatass lose some weight too

I don't return the cart to make myself feel better, I do it because it is the right thing to do. The grocery store provides the cart for you at no additional cost, to help you grocery shop with more convenience. They also provide cart returns to make it easier for you to return the cart without walking it back to the store. Simple shite

Is it so hard to start the car, have it cooling off, load up groceries, load up kids, shut kids in car, lock car, then bring the cart back?
It's what I do weather pending, if it's hot I just lock em in there (my truck won't lock the keys in the truck), if it's raining, in the truck. If it's nice out they walk with me.

It’s pretty easy to find a spot next to a cart return if you’re not lazy and don’t try and park at the front.

I park all the way in the back to avoid people dinging my vehicle and walk all the way to the front of the store and come back. I worked buggies back in high school, loved to go get the buggies all the way out in no mans land, nice quiet walk. I’m helping.

Peak dumbass logic to justify your laziness. You're not creating or helping someone keep a job. You're making their job more difficult, making it harder for other people to park, and causing a hazard that may damage other vehicles.
If you return your cart to the designated area like an adult, someone still has to go out and retrieve them.
Dumbass.

Because I wouldn’t unless I was parked near the basket corral. Frankly, I’m not being paid to self-check out along with inflated prices. I’ll take the cart back if convenient, and usually do. But if I don’t, no cares. They are paid to work and can get it.
I tend to agree, not sure why everyone gets so worked up about this. As a teen I worked a summer job at a grocery store.
My duties were stocking shelves and gathering carts from parking lot. It was a boring job and gathering carts broke the monotony of being inside the store all day. That said, I generally return the cart unless I have to walk across the parking lot to do so or if in bad weather.

Geez how fricking hard is it to return the damned cart?
On days I was off I'd take my little girl to the grocery store ( after looking for toys, of course) and I'd leave her in the cart with me while loading my truck and push the cart back to the corral with her in and got her out.
She loved shopping with daddy.

It's a symptom of how fat, lazy, and worthless our population has become. "Someone else's problem" is a piece of shite way to spend your time in public.

Last year the wind blew a cart into my wife’s vehicle. Cost me $700 to fix. All because someone was too lazy to put it in rack.
