I feel like the argument has been framed “any good hitler did is outweighed by the bad”

But it should be pointed out that Hitler did not actually invent highways or the microphone.

He didn’t invent rocketed

Nothing that came out of Nazi Germany besides war and death os uniquely because of the Nazis.

I think his argument is:

Apparently it is that people cannot see facts or the truth because of a pre-costrude political lens.

All I did was post facts and the truth. But apparently some people here think that helping neglected kids find better homes is a NAZI thing to do.

People are so unfair to the nazis. Keep fighting the good fight towards those who slander their good name

But people weren't disputing your facts.

WestCoastAg said "don't even come close to making up for genocide".

I partially disagree with his next statement which was "and this is as far as we should go" (referring to limiting discussion of atrocities).

I think you're right that we shouldn't limit it just to that, but if you advance Nazi praise without talking about the rest, people will either ding you for normalizing uncontextualized discourse or suspect you're a sympathizer and in either case people will tend to want to nip it in the bud.

Because people can't think independently, that's on them.

Nazis were shitty humans who did some terrible things and also some good things.

Hopefully that appeases all the women here.

Personal politics are not the same as committing genocide. You are stretching big time with that leap.

I don't think WWIIC is crypto, but for crypto-fash that present this way, the next move is to do the old "You bullies are trying to shut down my free speech" and similar self-pity.

The special sauce of fash is to blend a sense of victimhood and superiority ending up a lot of hate for fellow citizens keeping them down and justifying rectifying it with violence.

That phrase makes it seem like the good they did balances the evil. Which is untrue.

The nazis did awful terrible things, and although they did some good, it is far outweighed by the atrocities they committed towards humans.

That's the correct sentence.

Yes, I agree. You should acknowledge the correct proportions.

People are getting Nazi-curious and it's important to remind them that it's a despicable ideology that ends in ruin for everyone, not just minorities.

Exactly. Far too many mouth breathers itt saying they did good without the counter phrase of how terrible they truly were.

Did CNN say that yesterday or something?

This will be America's greatest threat next. Not white supremacy, which I mean is rampant, but being nazi curious, which I imagine will spread like wildfire

Probably because Hirohito didn't eat cyanide and a bullet.
