16 year old W/ANKLE BRACELET ON kills another young man in New Iberia. News reports say the juvenile has an EXTENSIVE criminal history. Our society is and has been going down the drain for some time. Just venting.

The courts need to require people released with ankle monitors to also wear inflated balloons on their hands.

In reality, if the court seems a person needs to tracked 24/7 then they should not be released back into society.

Sad, but it'll take more of these to happen until people finally rise up and DEMAND stiffer penalties for juvenile pieces of shite.

I've learned not to get too optimistic with our governors or legislature, and Landry has yet to prove me right or wrong.

But I do think he will push to put bring back some of the laws we had on the books, perhaps push some new ones, in order to give law enforcement, DAs, and courts more power dealing with crime.

Of course it's up to police, prosecutors, and judges to do their damn job for a change as well, in conjunction with each other.

You can steal a thousand bucks worth of shite now and it aint a felony.

Juveniles are coddled, not treated as young criminals.

Some are in jail for stupid stuff to line pockets for the system, while others are sneezed at. The system has become upside down, in my opinion.

One of the most important changes we could make is stop having elected judges.
