Two Teens Steal a Front-End Loader
NEW GLOUCESTER, Maine —Two 14-year-old boys are under arrest after Lewiston police said they stole a front-end loader and led officers on a chase, ending when an officer shot at the loader's tires.
A simple Google search reveals this is not an uncommon event.
Another Front-End Loader Stolen by a Different Teen
St. Paul, Minnesota - A teenager is accused of stealing a front-end loader in St. Paul, driving it across the Twin Cities and ramming it into a car dealership building in Hopkins, helping some other juveniles steal a car, according a juvenile petition filed Thursday in Ramsey County District Court.
Whatever happened to just taking the car out for a joyride? Maybe it's due to a lack of discipline, education, good parenting, etc. Or did this kind of stuff happen years ago and just wasn't so publicly known? I somehow doubt that.

30 miles is a long arse way in a front-end loader. What's that thing do, about 10 - 15 mph max?

You think these kids are more commonly found in houses where women where the pants? Think about all of those houses with the, "he was a good boy, bout to start college," BS with no father around.

I've always sat in the school of thought that if you're going to joyride, it might as well be in a vehicle fun enough to justify the shite you could land in. And on that note, a front end loader is probably the easiest piece of heavy machinery to operate. It was all fun and games until they started getting into chases with the police and ramming equipment into a car dealership.
