Just witnessed a pitbull encounter with my twelve year old daughter.

Just picked her up from school and as we exited the car two pitbull terrier dogs approached us and before I could react my daughter started petting them. They were super friendly and just really seemed to enjoy her company. Naturally my daughter was confused when I ran them off and scolded her for approaching them like she did. They really were sweet dogs but I don't trust them and I had to teach her to not approach random dogs and to especially not trust a pit.

I honestly didn't know that the breed was that bad until I started reading the OT and saw the frequency in which those dogs turn on their owners much less attack strangers including children. My daughter hasn't been exposed to that information and she loves and trusts dogs. These two got out of the fence almost directly across the street and belong to my new cop neighbor. I dont really want to confront him about the dogs because most cops are assholes and I honestly don't want on his bad side but I will keep my eye out for those two from here on.
