I'm with you Master G. Keep mine at 76...spend alot of time outside so seems cold. Seems to run more often than not, but I haven't timed it yet. Definitely warmer upstairs also...but I probably won't do anything about it

Baw, she just likes 69's.

We go 75 during the week days. And 65 at night.

74 during the day, 70 at night. It's taken some years, but I slowly worked the wife's preferred temp down from 77-78 during the day and 74 at night. It was uncomfortable for a while.

Mine get bumped to 73 during the day, were either not home, mostly outside, or I'm working sitting in a chair in front of a computer. 70 at night.

74° here, also. I never cease to be amused by some of the things that the OT attaches to manhood.

I leave my 4T (single stage, main living area) set at 73
My 3.5T (upstairs. Variable). At 73
My 2.5T (master bed, bath, nursery) at 74 during the day and 68 from about 6pm-6am

But today, I walked from the main living area to the bedroom while my wife was taking a nap. There was a noticeable shift in humidity, and I am resetting my schedules to leave everywhere at 73.

Feels like a pretty short cycle and maybe lack of insulation cutting back on so quickly.

Also some of you guys need to spend a little time outdoors in the heat. It's good for you. You can adapt your body to shed heat more efficiently. If you do any type of sport heat training is second only to altitude training for performance advantage.

quote:

Heat acclimation is a series of physiological adaptations that occur when the body is repeatedly exposed to heat. These adaptations can be naturally induced, like through seasonal heat adaptation, or artificially induced. The goal of heat acclimation is to improve the body's tolerance to heat and help it cope with heat stress.

Some benefits of heat acclimation include:

Improved sweating efficiency

Stabilized circulation

Lower core temperature and heart rate during exercise

Increased skin blood flow

Reduced cardiovascular strain

Improved fluid balance

Altered metabolism

Enhanced cellular protection

Heat acclimation can be achieved through gradual exposure to heat over a period of 7–14 days. For example, you can gradually increase the intensity or duration of work you do in a hot environment, or you can try heat acclimation training (HAT). HAT involves performing endurance exercise, like running or cycling, for extended periods in a hot environment that simulates competition conditions. The intensity of the exercise should be between 50–70% of your VOmax, and you should complete 4–7 HAT sessions.

I spend a lot of time in my shop or working out in the yard. Keep mine set on 78 which is 20 degrees cooler when I walk in. Perfectly fine esp with a fan going.

I also exercise regularly and do a lot of outdoor cardio. Fat people are going to ruin this country.

I grew up with my grandparents. People from the woods didn't believe in a/c. We had an attic fan except for one room with a window unit. That's where my arse laid up.

we just got back from a week at the lake.

I preferred being outside the whole time.. We played games and ran around on the water or just kicked back in the heat with 3 coolers loaded with beverages.

But I'm home now. got shite to do inside and don't feel like sweating while I do it.

I did have to take a door off the hinges and use a belt sander on it to get it to close and it was hot af doing that in the direct sunlight. I was drenched after 30 minutes.
