The wife (no pics) and I went this past summer. The new museum across the street from Graceland is enormous. If you take the Graceland tour, go ahead and do the museum. It is well worth it.
My wife, who religiously listens to the Elvis Channel on Sirius, was surprised to find out that the Elvis Channel broadcasts live from the museum.
It was definitely worth the trip.
On an unrelated side-note, I had to go to the nearest Wal-Mart to get some snacks for the hotel room (we stayed close to Graceland), and it was the first time that I have ever been in a place where I was the ONLY white person on the entire premises. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

the host of that show, or at least when they started it was an old Memphis DJ and schoolmate/friend of Elvis, he's got to be getting up there if he's still with us, George Klein

The racquetball room was the last place he was hanging out before he retired to his bedroom. He died in his master bathroom which is directly above the front door of Graceland, where you walk in to start the tour.

I think George Klein is only actually at the Graceland studio for a few hours every Friday. At least that seemed to be the case when I visited a few years ago.

I happened to be in Memphis for the 25th anniversary of his death, ate at a restaurant where I think we might have been the only non-Elvis impersonators in the joint. We were watching the local news that night and they were broadcasting live from the candlelight vigil at Graceland and they interviewed a grown man who was sobbing and saying "He was too young to die!".

I'm sure there were no shortage of "girlfriend" candidates, and it's not like he could go anywhere to meet chicks, by the time he was 21 he pretty much couldn't go out in public without being mobbed

GK still hosts a show on Elvis Radio.
I love Elvis and that channel, but some of the story tellers are so full of shite... There's one they play that's like, oh he never cursed in the recording studio... Then they start playing takes from the radio vault and something will mess up and Elvis yells goddammit or son of a bitch on half those takes. It's kind of hilarious, but also sad, how his lackeys viewed him as a godlike figure and still do.
