Good for those dudes. Pokemon isn't my cup of tea, but it's harmless. I've lined up to buy certain beers, so I can't throw shade.

They are lining up to buy and resell the product. It's ashamed that the kids who do play it, wont have the chance to buy them at retail prices. And by kids, I mean actual kids. The ones who save their allowances and buy a couple of boxes now and then.

What exactly does one do with Pokémon cards? Is it like Dungeons and Dragons?

I believe there is a game of sorts that can be played, similar to magic: the gathering, but I think the main appeal is just collecting and flexing to your friends and socials about how much you’ve spent and how rare your collection is

Had to look up the term, 'gooning'.
Essentially, it's being a chronic masturbater who stops short of climax then does it over and over for an indeterminate duration that lasts for several hours to periods of time over several days, or even weeks.
Remember that right as you go to shake hands with someone.

I wish I had that much time on my hands.

The odds of that response to the OP just happening to be right under a comment explaining gooning

I need to develop hobbies. Honestly I've worked so much the past 25 years that I never got around to building something that I can do on my spare time.
Maybe I can buy a fishing boat....

I mean, 1st edition Charizard's are going for well over six figures - wish I would have kept those cards.
I can still remember the day I bagged up all my pokemon and yugioh cards in the trash. I was 14 and travel ball was king, rest in peace sweet prince

You should drive by the line for an Insane Clown Posse show next time they come to your town.

I gave my 34 year old son his binder of Pokémon cards he had when he was 10 years old. He has it looked through them to see what’s in there. May be up to 150 in plastic sheets.
