Been a long time coming. I’m 35. I’ve been dealing with alcoholism since my early 20s. Ruined many relationships with family, friends, and significant others. I’m drunk right now. I consider myself a high functioning alcoholic. I think that means that despite my problems I can still perform at work and pay my bills. But I’ll leave that up to the expert. I always had trouble speaking to people I don’t know I’m person about my drinking habit. I pray I can overcome beacause i feel it’s starting to control me more than I wanted to admit. To anyone else who feels they are slowly losing themselves with substance abuse I wish you nothing but the best and hope you will pull through.

Build a good support network around you. We’re all pulling for you.

Good luck.

This is the most grammatically correct paragraph I have ever seen on the OT so you must be kind of bright if you're drunk and can do this.
Stay away from the OT for at least 3 months

Good luck. Your coming to terms with an admitted problem you need additional support to overcome is something you should be proud of yourself for. I’ve watched my brother’s life unravel recently and I wish he had even an ounce of your humility and courage. You can do this.

Yeah once you get over a pint a day is the point of no return

It sounds like you’re admitting it now. That’s a good start. Good luck.

Good luck.
But instead of a shrink, call another alcoholic who has turned his life around and let him show you the way.

Yeah you know you're a drunk so why pay people to tell you that? Follow George Bush the 43rd. Went cold turkey and found spirituality

You owe it to yourself and those around you. Be strong.

He did that through the same suggestion I posted.
Only proven method I’ve seen.

Praying all goes well buddy
For you to acknowledge the problem and take this step to address it is a big deal. Best of luck to you, substance abuse is no joke
