Do you pay federal taxes? Just wondering since taxpayers pay a portion of the bills of Demco/WST/SLEMCO or other socialized electricity providers.

I would say that's VERY high. We finished building our house(2900ft LA) in late November . We got moved in 2 days before thanksgiving. My first bill was 290 without any insulation in the attic for that whole cycle. It's fully insulated now and my units run maybe twice a day.I have 3-15 seer heat pumps,1-50 gal electric water heater, and a propane tankless water heater. You need some more insulation among other things already mentioned.

We're total electric and 1 wood burning fireplace and ours was $600 last month for 4400sf. It'll be around 750-800 this month.

Yours seems about right to me.

demco had a 33 day cycle last month and a 27 the month before that with the cold cold be the issue
electric heat and ac ( heat pump ) you could have a Freon leak mine was 350 a few months ago with a bad leak and a compressor pulling a lot of amps to run replaced both pieces on the two units and dec was 75.00$ and this month its 105.00$
and BTW im tired after work so screw punctuation!!
I don't type for a check oh and im a litte over 3600 sf gas bill was 65.00$

Mine was a lot higher than normal too. We didn't have a ton of Christmas lights but we did have some.

Turn your heater off!! When you get home, turn it on to knock off chill then off again. Same first thing when you wake up in the morning. You'll sleep better and save much money!!

I work for a power generation company as an EMS administrator. I can literally see the exact load of each region of Louisiana. We broke records this winter in terms of load. Most people don't realize that Louisiana is a winter peaking state and that's mostly due to people having electric heaters instead of gas. On a related note, there's a propane shortage in the midwest right now.
