I knocked my wife up at 28.

I can't imagine my life without my daughter. She's my favorite person in the world and being a father has been the most rewarding and challenging experience in my life.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Here come the "you're selfish if you don't have kids!" posts.

Meanwhile it's midnight and I'm leisurely relaxing knowing I can sleep in tomorrow and then wake up and do whatever the frick I want. I win.

I think the last guy with kids who 'just discovered' that subreddit ended up leaving his kid in his car to bake for a whole day while he went to work.

Something like that. Not sure how you stumble across that sub.

I remember when out of touch old folks used to say this about the internet in general

There are reddit subs on virtually every topic under the sun. Some are filled with people spouting edgelord nonsense. Others are filled with intelligent and thoughtful discussion. Others are people posting amusing, funny, or innocuous content (for example: r/aww, r/NatureIsfrickingLit, r/CFB, r/history, r/philosophy, etc.).

I don't even hang out on reddit that much but I'm trying to figure out how out of the loop ( r/ootl) someone would have to be to refer to reddit as if it has a uniform culture across its subs. Take some metamucil and go to sleep paw paw.

For instance reading r/neutralpolitics
r/askhistorians
r/ELI5

Usually has great back and forth with people who are literally experts on the subject they are speaking about.

I’d imagine it’s the same type of people who frequent kid-free cruises and the like. It’s not all that strange.

Its only good for the occasional off the wall teenage meltdown, like this one, where a needy, entitled teenager is insanely jealous of her pregnant frenemy. The community response is, essentially, to cut her parents out of her life.

Nothing rivals r/short for maximum hilarity from pathetic weirdos.

Having kids is a pain in the arse and I don't blame people for not doing it.

That being said.

If your life is so wonderful without them, you wouldn't need a forum to post on to validate it.

Well that’s dumb because that’s a pretty large component of this site; people discussing shite and why they do or do not believe in it.

I don’t have kids, I never will and I couldn’t be happier. I’m not saying that bc I need to validate, I’m just sharing because it’s the topic at hand. That’s kind of how this whole forum works

Spoiler alert: In a couple of decades, you will pass away on your recliner all alone in a pair of Depends that you haven't been able to change in weeks. Congrats on the win?

I love the justification.

Have kids so they can take care of me when I'm unable to do it myself
