Not really a Go Pro, I got some knockoff on Amazon with great reviews, the Akaso.

I’m going to try my hand at video garage sale flipping, show them other boys how to do it.

A friend at work wants me to troll garage sales, ask if they’d take 25¢ on anything I pick up, just be a dick.

Friend,

I hope this revelation does not mean you will stop your letters here to us. The written stories and photos have a much greater lasting impact. In a world of moving pictures and cheap and choppy spoken words, forums like TD, which are one of the last mass repositories for the written word, give us hope that culture and art might once again flourish. The YouTubing of our arts has created a vacuum of art. I hope you do not abandon the letter and photographic form that means so much to us.

Yours,

antique. I am trying to load the picture but imgur is being slow this morning, but I have some bird figurines that are probably at least 30 years old, perfect condition. Along with a flower figurine, some tea cups that are in a display. That's all the info I know about them, but is there any value in the items I described?

I am trying to get a picture and I know you are not here to give estimates on anything.. I am just wondering if there is value in these things.

I’m not knocking those other vloggers. I get what they are doing, that’s how I started 20 years ago. Find anything for $1, hope it sells for $20. They do it for a living, and it’s hard work.
I do it for fun, and I go after the big items, the things I call home runs and unicorns. Homeruns are things like the $1 “bag of broken watches” I bought a few weeks ago. I’m over $100 in profit from watches that were in that bag, including a men’s Gruen watch that sold for $50.
Unicorns are things that I know are rare or just monster money makers like the Saints tickets or that micrometer I bought a couple weeks ago.

Sounds like Andreas figurines, they did a lot of birds. Most are worthless, I’ve seen a few that brought big money, but I wouldn’t know which is which, so I pass on them every time I see them.

Tea cups have dropped like bad habits. Only old ladies collect them, and the price has plummeted due to being not desirable anymore by the next generation.

I was disappointed to read that you had to resort to Amazon to buy the GoPro knock-off.

Have a great day & happy hunting.

I appreciate it. I just gave you an upvote, so that you don't think I was the one downvoting you for answering my question.

I’ll watch them and start yelling at the screen, “You idiot, look right there!!! There sits $300 item for $5!!!”

I saw one guy pick up a boxed Barbie from the 80’s. Laying behind it was a Barbie from the late 50’s/early 60’s. He never saw it because he was paying attention to the boxed Barbie, that he sold for $59

Garage flipper
Cincinnati picker
Thrift mine
Commonwealth picker
Shadjuice

Garage flipper is from Baton Rouge. He does pretty well but he also nickel and dimes it. I don’t know how much he paid for the collection of Hot Wheels, but he has sold them for $2000+.
He buys entire collections. He has one video where he dropped $3000 on an entire collection. It will be a lot of work to flip
