Not sure what documents you will need, but make sure you bring a bottle of lube as well.

Bought mine in texas last year and dealer took care of everything. I receive licence plate and registration in the mail.

Bought it from private seller, not dealership. He is unfamiliar with what is required in LA

Got a Lexus RX300 much cheaper here in MS from a private seller. Cheapest one I found in LA was 3100 more. Going now to finish the paperwork. Told him I need bill of sale (notarized), title (notarized), current registration.
