i dont think they put the two of them in one giant casket. probably just had one service and the graves are next to each other. no big deal.

What they do with the carcasses doesn't freak me out. If they want to have one service and bury them side by side or one box on top of the other (which happens a lot) or somehow throw them in the same box, that's them. Given the circumstances, I could see having one service and one burial so as to not have to put the family through that twice.

Sure, they funeral will be held at the same time, but I doubt they will share a casket, which is what I think you think. They may well be placed in the same crypt, but that's no big deal. When I die, my family has instructions to mix my cremations with my son's then bury them in the same grave my father is in. I guess that would be creepy to you too. Doesn't bother me at all.

People placed in mausoleums do it all the time and years apart.
