Hell, look at Ferguson. The "hands up, don't shoot" mantra is still being shouted despite the fact that Obama's own DOJ completely disproved it by using the testimony of witnesses. But, here we are, pretending it's still true.

Like you said, no LEO org will pursue charges against him because no one wants to be crucified for rightly punishing a black guy for "starting a conversation"

Well that's pretty fricked up if true. Similar to the chick from north Louisiana a few years back that blamed the Klan for an attack on her house. People who make up situations like this don't help anyone whatsoever.

I completely agree. But it happens often. People lie about their run-ins with police... being racially profiled... attacked. And when it turns out not to be true, nothing happens. There are tons of examples of this.

Exactly. I agree with you that typically lying to the FBI is a huge deal. But we've seen law enforcement back off in situations like this choosing rather for the situation to blow away rather than take action and "go after" someone who already claims to be a victim. It's an optics decision apparently.
