Yesterday I was dismissed at 12 and told to report back today at 9. Arrived this morning and some lady comes in and puts on Jack and the Beanstalk, no explanation of what we are doing today. What the actual frick!!

Some people got a sticker w a juror # on it, but I didn't. Hoping that's a good sign.

Was Jack in Beanstalk cartoon or humans and action, which production? Beats Judge Joe Brown any day. You have a phone, right?

Yes I have a phone and it's the real jack and the beanstalk but watching a movie ad playing on my phone doesn't pay the mortgage. Self employed contract worker = no paid time off.

Sorry, basically the same role here, hope it goes away. Makes you question your decision to vote. I went to court 3 times with a guy I saw get a BS ticket from a Campus Cop on a game day. There was not even a judge available or present. He finally got released without any payment, only to find out the cop had been promoted to detective. I can't believe they can hold court that way. The wheels of justice are uglier than sausage being made these days.

I really wasn't complaint about it being boring, I'm just saying if I'm going to miss out on getting paid at work i don't want it to be bc I'm watching a movie.

And every gets their parking ticket validated/stamped when the arrive. That's not what the sticker w juror # was for.

Just remember how important an issue the slip and fall at Wendy's really is. I saw on TV where a lawyer got an actual client big money. This is the real deal now. Do it for freedom.

I had to come back at 1:15 yesterday. Then, got picked and went up on the 7th floor. My name was the second called to get in the jury. After the lawyers looked over the selection, I was called up by the judge and explained to why I was being dismissed.

Sorry, can't share why. I did hate that I didn't get a chance to actually go through the process.

Bobby, I did leave a copy of SLIPWAY GREY in the quite room if you're looking for a short read. Authored by LSUZombie and myself.

I've heard of this quiet room, maybe I'll go nap after lunch if we're still watching movies.

It's where the nerds and geeks hide out and read and stuff. You could probably take a nap in one of the holding rooms in the back. :)

Was there yesterday. Was released at 11 for the rest of the week. Jury duty wouldn't have cost me money like it did you, so I really wouldn't have minded being selected for a jury. But if the release means I get to miss Jack and the Beanstalk, then

The one time I got picked for jury duty, it was very interesting. During jury selection I got to listen to all the potential jury members give their reason for not wanting to be on the jury and it was just amazing to hear some of the things people said. You had your racist people, your super bitchy housewives, your ignorant people who couldn't understand or even answer a single question a lawyer asked...it was just amazing to sit back and watch.
