Yes, served on a murder trial. Kid was found guilty and it was not enjoyable at all.

I was selected for Kerry myers murder trial in 80s but showed up in a t shirt from a playground where the accused played softball and was promptly removed by defense

Last year served on an embezzlement case. Defendant was clearly guilty, took us 15 min for unanimous vote. What really surprised me was ineptitude of both the defense and prosecution attorneys. They were both terrible.

Only been called once and sat there all day until I was told my number won’t be called and I can go home.

Served on a change of venue murder trial. After hearing the opening for the prosecution, I thought lets go out and hang him now. After hearing the defense, I thought why are we even here! There was too many un answered questions to convict. Could he of done it? Absolutely, but the prosecution did not prove to the jury beyond a reasonable doubt! Lots of gnashing of teeth, crying and yelling from the gallery. It was a very long walk to the truck!

I served on a Re-Trail of a boyfriend who was charged with punching his girl friends toddler in the stomach after having given the toddler Vodka to shut it up. The child died from internal injuries. Mom was working night shift. Video of him in the interrogation room by himself, punching himself in the gut to simulate what he had done to the child was very telling. I didn’t know about his previous trial and conviction.
We actually had a judge on our jury. She observed me taking notes during the trial and nominated me as foreman. We found him guilty. Very glad that I helped put him back where he deserved.

Called 3 times but never served. I was always a peremptory challenge by the defense.

Death penalty murder trial. Do NOT recommend. Very stressful. We found him guilty but could not agree on sentence, so he got life without parole.

I would tell the judge exactly this when they ask if anyone has a reason they should not serve on a jury. I'd bet the judge will excuse you.

Served as jury foreman on a case where a dude sped away from the cops. He got away and they picked him up later. He did the wasn't me defense. Said he was at a picnic and loaned out his car. It was hilarious.

Blurting out some random info obviously trying to get out, will just piss the judge off, imo.
Yes but it will also get him kicked

Went through voir dire for a civil case involving an auto accident with hydroplaning involved.
There was a civil traffic engineer in the first 12 panelists and he was very vocal about how hydroplaning worked in certain situations and on certain road types. The plaintiff's attorney kept coming back to him and asking him more about it.
They ended up selecting the first 12 panelists, including the engineer.
I got up and left the court room and stopped by the restroom on the way out. I had to pass by the courtroom to leave and when I did, everyone selected was walking out. The judge had just declared a mistrial...probably due to the jurors being tainted by everything the civil engineer said.
I went home and looked up the case on the county website. It had been delayed several times and this was not the first mistrial. I have a feeling the plaintiff was just hoping for a settlement and couldn't get the jury they wanted.
