Damn.

Just saw Troy and Jacob at my Uncles funeral this week. My uncle made a few appearances on there over the years.

Wrong swamp dude. The one that died is the one with the son that has a small stature but is wirey as hell.

Yep, Willie Edwards, the son of Junior Edwards is one tough little SOB. Can't weigh 140 lbs. soaking wet but pulls in those big gators by himself most of the time.

As for Junior's passing, I remember seeing a rerun of one of the episodes filmed several years ago and Junior was home with the wife and Willie and frying up meat for dinner. His wife complained that he should not be eating like that due to his health issues, but he was filmed filling his plate with nothing but fried food to eat.

It doesn’t matter how many upvotes this gets, it’ll still be “underrated.”

Well done!

I wouldn't even think he weighs 140. What's funny is that Willie has a son named "little willie" that's a huge fat sob just like his grandad. It just skipped a generation.

Rize - auto correct got me. Mr SF could put finger prints on a cypress tree. Man was a legend with the crabs and karaoke. I loved spending time with him. He taught me a lot. Shoot, last year he was still running 120 crab traps a day by hand. Our area lost a hell of a man.

He was an amazing man.

I remember crying in the back of his boat 30 somehting years ago because he made me throw a bait caster vs spinning reels

I ran a lot of hoop nets with the man over the years and he knew where everyone was by a cypress tree.

Yeah, and last I saw he was gator hunting with one of the Landry boys and not his dad. Well, that makes 2 of the Edwards males that have passed away over the length of the show 'Swamp People".

The first was one of the sons, Randy Edwards, due to an auto accident he had in 2018 when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a utility pole. He was 35 when he died.

Anyone here ever have him build them a boat?

I remember the episode of him building a boat and I honestly really wanted one. It looked like he built them heavy duty. The kind of boat that would last a lifetime.

A fully custom purpose built aluminum boat impresses me more than any of the glitter boats. I'm entirely too practical to ever want a boat I'd have to worry about scuffing.

I've got a 1989 16 foot alumaweld that gets beached on rocky shores a lot. I riveted tire tread to the keel and I get compliments all the time from other old practical bastards
