I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that it predominantly has to do with the African child they adopted and this website talking about it may somehow get back to the child and have an adverse effect on his life. Just a guess.

Late to this thread but I have to make a couple of comments.
Her meal was ruined, right? I have to assume that she did not eat it then, correct?
So, if one is to believe the second statement above to be true, you would have to believe that the MAJORITY of the population has a criminal record. I must hang out in a very elite crowd, because I would say that of the people I call friends, I would say that under 25% of them have criminal records, and that includes DWI's.
