The reality is is that no one is paying any attention to her. Houston and Harris County are open for business..

For some it is. Restaurants, bars, barbers, yes but chemical/oil industries are being held to the mercy of this moron. I’ve had projects delayed for the past three months over this. I’m getting severed in a month and the job market is decimated.
But hey, 35% increase in hospitalizations the last two weeks. Let’s not talk about the fact that 95% of these people will be fine in a couple weeks.
I mean my god. Did you see the lungs of a perfectly healthy 20 year old after COVID. This is basically the bubonic plague.

I really hope some people in Houston challenge her directly by defying any orders

If people would just distance and wear their fricking masks this wouldn't keep happening.
But no...personal liberty, it's a hoax, etc attitude is going to continue to crush any progress being made. My brother has said that in Florida hardly anyone is wearing their masks, it's basically business as usual, and their numbers are up sharply.
In Illinois daily new cases continue to trend way down because we're all wearing masks whenever we go inside anywhere and many people wear them whenever outside.

The point is that we know governments (state and city) have a hair trigger when it comes to shutting shite back down, and we know how to easily slow or stop the spread of it...but people are too stupid to do it. They'd rather frick themselves over to show the gubment that they can't be told what to do.
Awesome. You guys show em.
The 7 day moving average for Florida is higher now than it was during the height of the outbreak: Worldometers - Florida

Cool. I believe in personal responsibility. If you want to wear a mask, wear one. If you don’t, don’t. Businesses are free to require one and when they do, I see people comply.

These people went from “we need to shut everything and everyone down because this virus is deadly and contagious” to everyone has right to gather in groups so long as they’re protesting police brutality, and now back to we need to watch out for the 2nd wave. All in the span of a month.
Clearly these people don’t view the virus as seriously as they were originally saying. Because if they did, they wouldn’t be encouraging people to gather in large crowds while risking their’s and everyone else’s lives.

Yup, and that approach is what will get us right back into a total shutdown. People are too stupid to know what they should be doing and do it. But hey, you'll have your "personal freedom" to fall back on when we're all locked down again and the country falls a couple trillion more in the hole.

Nope. I just know what the government will do if people don't do what they should be doing. And when it happens again, we'll have you dummies to thank for it. Daily new cases are the highest they've been to date right now in Texas, Florida, and a few other states. It's getting worse there, and getting way better in states that adhered more strictly to the shutdown (NY, NJ, IL, etc)...so like I said a few places are gonna frick everyone else.

I saw an article saying the majority of new cases were in prisons. I'll see if I can find it.

No we’ll have the government to thank for it so they’ll be forcing everyone to shut down again. Even though they made it clear they don’t think as highly about it

Right. So you know what they'll do, but you won't do what you know you need to do to prevent it. That's fantastic.
