And I think with the exception of your Shapiros and Sam Harris of the world, which are up there with Peterson in intellect, Peterson outclasses a lot of those guys that are lauded by the left like Michael Eric Dyson and Chomsky and Zinn.

Peterson is getting a different swath of support and has intellectual and academic credibility that the fringe left has often used to shut down the conversation.

He's a gay liberal who isn't a fan of the identity politics being pushed by the left and wants to sit down and have discussions with people who hold opposing viewpoints not yell with his fingers in his ears yelling "NAZI!"
