In 1992, the Michigan Fab 5 took the basketball world by storm. They were Freshmen yet basically an all star team. They brought a different kind of swagger than we had seen before. Part of their swagger was their shoes - the Nike Air Flight Huaraches.

These shoes also gained popularity in the NBA.

Since I got into sneakers a couple years ago, I’ve wanted a pair. Nike released a limited reproduction in 2015. You can find them on eBay for around $120. I never wanted to pay that much for a niche pair I’d hardly wear.

Today I went to Marshalls on my lunch break. The Marshalls near my office has great deals on sneakers from time to time. Today, I hit the jackpot.

No clue how THESE sneakers could end up at Marshalls 4 years after release. I’m thinking some Nike storage facility had a stack of these that just never made it out and they dumped them on Marshall’s in a package deal with all the other “regular” shoes. Made my day!

Honestly, I admire your passion. Congrats on what is apparently a find. Carry on and have an upvote.

If I ever caught myself perusing fricking Marshall’s on my lunch break I would jump into a moving car.

Congrats on your 30 y/o basketball shoe

Those run $125 new online so good buy! If I had money to blow I would love to buy retro basketball shoes from the 90s.

As a kid in the 90s the Jordan’s, Scottie pippens, Ken Griffey jr, deion Sanders, and penny Hardaway shoes were the goats!
