I could hear the news in the background, and one city was getting pounded by softball sized hail. shite was destroying car windows, sides of homes, etc.

I live in jonesboro and got damn that shite was scary yesterday. I was in the shower getting ready to go to the hospital to see my kid that’s currently in the NICU.
Wife ran in and told me that we were under a warning. Went to the hallway with the dog other kiddo and wife and watched that shite from the live feed. All the while terrified not knowing which direction it was going. Had it gone west or touch down slightly west, the hospital could’ve caught something. Thankfully it didn’t and there are no deaths (so far).

Double stack container cars. Known to blow over due to their height, two boxes stacked, and flat sides.

Probably didn't hurt the track at all if they were stopped.

You do realize those first three pictures are from SE Jackson County almost 35-40 miles from Jonesboro. Same tornado?

It's gotta be a part of the storm I watched from Benton Louisiana. Part of it, I would think, but jonesboro is north east and pretty far away. I wonder how big the storm was

Mmm I don’t know about that. The cells that produce those guys usually aren’t all that large in size and almost certainly not large enough to cover from Benton to Jonesboro. Unless the cell passed you first on the way there it’s not likely. Same system probably but different cells (storms).

YouTube - 6.5 hours of coverage from KAIT TV

video picks up (0:00) at 4:06 PM... the storm is already tornado warned in Jackson County, but it is still about 50 minutes away from Jonesboro, which is NOT in the tornado warning as of yet

17:23 - meteorologist for first time sees an echo on the correlation coefficient that confirms the storm in Jackson County has put down a tornado

23:02 - first reports come in of damage from storm near Amagon; at that same time the meteorologists are sure the tornado lifted but were concerned storm was just cycling and not weakening

25:25 - first airing of video from twitter of tornado on the ground back in Jackson County, storm still tornado warned but was not believed on the ground at the current moment

29:16 - 2nd angle from Twitter of tornado from Jackson County aired

34:56 - NWS Memphis allows tornado warning to expire, and puts out a severe thunderstorm warning with tornado possible tag that covers Jonesboro for the 1st time

40:45 - from his home office, KAIT chief meteorologist says a tornado warning should be re-issued as he looks at the winds tighten up into a possible couplet

41:18 - NWS Memphis in fact does issue a new tornado warning, which includes Jonesboro, as it too has noticed the rotation tightening up again

46:10 - meteorologists notice wall cloud coming into view of skycam at Arkansas St. Univ. football stadium and go to that shot live

53:25 - Tornado forms live on air

54:00 - first visuals of debris being lifted into the air

55:46 - 1st skycam goes out

56:11 - 2nd live skycam shot of tornado from a baptist church

1:08:11 - "Get downstairs everybody" - KAIT chief meteorologist (who is on air from his home remember) telling his family to go downstairs as the tornado bears down to Paragould

1:28:05 - first live images of damage from the ground

I’ll definitely be watching the link over the next few days, thanks rt (pls quit cheating in FWL, we aren’t even playing right now so your points increasing is obnoxiously blatant)

Anyone else besides me being besieged with PSAs saying it is better to take your chances with Coronavirus in a public tornado shelter than avoiding one during a tornado now?
