There should only be death penalty for cases with insurmountable direct evidence (like a video or something) and an uncoerced confession. But that only applies to very few murders.
Like this case.
I don’t care if people are mentally ill either. I’m sure a vast majority of murderers are mentally ill in some capacity. Put em down.
