I tip my hat to anyone who can make ~$200 mil for interviewing people on a podcast a few times a week
It's way better than that. He makes that for getting baked, drinking bourbon, and having the exact same conversation you or I would have with the coolest people on the planet
Rogan living his best life like a mf

Listened this morning and I liked hearing his perception of what happened. Those of us looking in from the outside regard Marcus as a bad arse, American special ops hero. He looks at it as a failure because he lost all of his best friends. To paraphrase something Marcus said in the podcast: "I got my arse kicked so bad, I went home to my Momma. They kicked my arse until I was butt naked and wanting my mom. I failed, got my arse kicked and my buddies all died."
Interesting to think about how much guilt he probably lives with. I couldn't imagine having that feeling all the time.

Didn't Luttrell's stepson go to LSU
Yes. I think it was him that had the big party that the football team got covid at

From Wikipedia
quote:
Luttrell claimed in Lone Survivor that Lieutenant Murphy considered executing the unarmed civilians who stumbled upon the SEAL reconnaissance team and even put it to a vote, but this has been criticized and dismissed by many as fiction. Navy Special Warfare Command spokesman Lieutenant Steve Ruh stated that "the senior guy ultimately has the ultimate authority" for making decisions in the field. He also stated that "this is the first time I've ever heard of anything put to a vote like that. In my 14 years of Navy experience, I've never seen or heard of anything like that."[30] Michael P. Murphy's father claims in the June 12, 2007 article "Survivor's book dishonors son's memory" in Newsday that his son would never have considered executing unarmed civilians, let alone putting such a grave decision up for a vote. Military protocol and rules of engagement strictly forbid harming unarmed non-combatant civilians.[31][32][33]
Mohammad Gulab, the Afghan villager who rescued Luttrell, also disputes Luttrell's version of the story. Luttrell claims that he fired off nearly all of his rounds, but Gulab said that he was found with all 11 magazines of ammunition

I mean, you have a couple “first I’d ever heard” and “would never”
But only one guy was actually there

Only MMA guy I would ever listen to. Lewis is absolutely hilarious.
Dude took out his jacked up truck and saved a ton of people during Harvey.

That was a great listen
I’ve read his book and while I agree no way everything was 100% real, I respect the hell out of him and believe he was in a huge firefight and was messed up badly. I’ve seen the pictures
A lot of the anti Luttrell rhetoric was started by one of the other soldiers that died’s wife who was pissed he was talking so much about it.
